Short Sale

A short sale is when the mortgage holders accept a discount on what they are owed and agree to release their interest in a property.

A short sale would be considered when the owner is behind in payments. This is usually 2-3 months the loan is delinquent. In Idaho, the foreclosure process begins with the notice of default.
